I should know; I’ve lost count of the number of hours I’ve wasted in department stores frantically spraying different scents until they all start smelling the same. Now that I made that clear, Club De Nuit Urban Elixir is not a clone of Dior’s dark horse, Sauvage Elixir despite the fact that this was my first bet upon hearing the name and seeing the huge reception of Demachy’s new and final baby with Dior. Then, what does Urban Elixir smell like? Or which fragrance does it clone? We will get to that in a minute. The sweetness is for me rather a fruity than a vanillige - depending on the situation, this can be a little too much - at high Temparaturen in the office, for example, I would be careful with the dosage. Otherwise, 90% of this scent is Sauvage-typical: the pink pepper is prominent, but a bit more subdued. Ambroxan is present to the sufficiency and provides the "Blue Fragrance" vibe. Patchouli, amber and lavender in the drydown is what I like at the Sauvage so much and this mix works just as well here. More like CDNIM LE, not Aventus. I detect it throughout, and as it dries down, it becomes more and more prominent. In the final drydown, it’s the smokey note, coupled with the sweeter Sauvage EDP note I get off my skin until the end. Better yet, it’s an eau de parfum—meaning a little spray goes a long way. Saving you money in the long run, as you won’t be needing a replacement anytime soon. So save yourself the hassle and get to know Beau Acute. Floral with a bit of wood and muskiness thrown in for good measure, it’s a well-rounded, long-lasting cologne that’s perfect for warm days and mild evenings. If you like your smells clean and crisp, this is the one for you.

Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir does have a nice clean masculine lavender note just like you’re gonna find in Sauvage that comes out as the fragrance dries down, it lingers there for a long time as you hit the base you get Ambroxan patchouli, so you get this kind of modern Woody warm very slightly earthy but not dirty dry down.
