Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber is a sweet, holiday romance that is both heartwarming and delightful. This book could easily turn into a Hallmark movie as it’s everything you’d expect on the Hallmark Channel for a holiday movie. There are enough cute Christmassy events, but not too much to make it saccharine. Peggy, the so-called best friend, was also very creepy. She made me feel like I was reading a horror book. She was doing EVERYTHING in her power to make Lindy stay. And whenever Lindy refused, she literally manipulated her. She made her believe the reason she didn't want to leave her stable job in the biggest company in her field and her apartment with a lease was because Lindy didn't want to make her ex feel like he won. HOW ARE THE TWO CONNECTED? Also, Peggy asked Lindy to be her housemate since she "needed one" and I know for a fact she murdered her old housemate so Lindy could move in.
