About this deal

The grip on the rear of the handle comes in the form of lots of dimples compared to the ridges on the 2500. It does not mean the brush will actually clean the teeth better. In fact, both have the same motor inside and the same cleaning modes. All three electric toothbrushes come with two forms of pressure sensor. A visible light that flashes red when you are pressing too hard and also a sensor in the brush head that slows down pulsations and oscillations if you are pressing too hard. These are both critical to prevent gum recession and tooth wear. There are no differences between all three of the electric toothbrushes. They share many of the same components in terms of battery life. 4) Portability: Oral-B Pro 2000 vs 3000 vs 2500 A big improvement, it means you can go between charges for longer and works better for those who travel and are away from power.

Both offer a 3D cleaning action via the small round brush head, but the Pro 1000 only offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations per minute, compared to the 9,900 and 45,000 of the Pro 2 2000. Whilst the difference exist the impact on your brushing and cleaning results are limited. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 looks like an expensive electric toothbrush and feels solid in the hand. It features a slimline body, which is easy to grip. Although if you do suffer from arthritis of the hand, it may be on the too thin side. The CrossAction brush comes as standard with the Oral-B Pro 2 2500N. As the brush head size is quite small, it means that it easily accesses the most difficult of molar teeth. This in my view is the best brush head Oral-B make. This is because it has special bristles that are angled at 16 degrees, which allow it to clean close to the gum line.

It does too come with a premium travel case, similar to that of the Genius X, which allows the brush to be charged whilst inside. However, like the X, this requires a separate proprietary power adapter. To access this additional mode, you have to press the power button an extra time each time you use the toothbrush. The Pro 2 defaults to the daily clean mode. The Oral-B Pro 2000, Oral-B Pro 2500 and Oral-B Pro 3000 have charging indicator lights that flash green when charging. When the Green light stops flashing the brush has reached full charge. Equally there is a red light that flashes when the power is low. This is a really handy feature. Unlike the Pro 2 2000, it does not have a large rubber grip that runs down the middle of the brush handle. Whilst this does make the Pro 1000 a little easier to wipe and keep clean, it does mean the Pro 2 feels a little more secure in the hand.

The Smart 6 comes with1 x CrossAction, 1 x Pro White/3D White and 1 x Sensitive brush head, but the Genius 9000 comes with one additional brush head, that is the FlossAction head. It’s a bit of a hassle as you need to stand almost perfectly still in front of your camera and a smartphone holder like this is not what most of us want in a bathroom. For the majority of people, myself included the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is the toothbrush to go for. It offers a balance of cleaning performance and features at a price most will find affordable.
