With 16 E-Cores running at up to 3.4GHz and and 8 P-Cores running at up to 5.4GHz, it can monster its way through 24 simultaneous threads, and that’s just what it does given half a chance. Update: Here are the configurations available for the Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 and Scar 18 (2023) series: On to more demanding loads, we start by testing the CPU’s performance by running the Cinebench R15 test for 15+ times in a loop, with a 1-2 seconds delay between each run. This configuration can easily handle all the modern games at QHD+ resolution and Ultra settings, with or without RT. Attempting to calibrate the display on this multi-zone mode doesn’t fix the recorded imbalances in gamma, white point, and DeltaE color accuracy. Thus, I wouldn’t use this mode for color-accurate work, as previously explained. With the Asus set to its default Performance mode, it dished out a Geekbench multi-threaded score of 19,266 and a Cinebench R23 result of 25,152, making even the mighty Core i9-13800H look positively puny. There’s no such miniLED panel on the Scar 18, which instead can be specced up to an 18-inch Nebula IPS panel with 500 nits of peak SDR brightness, but otherwise similar colors and gaming capabilities. Both these panels are pretty much the best you can find these days in the 16 and 18-inch segments.
